Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Ahacut (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. The Service

Ahacut generates a timeline-synced motion-graphics b-roll track from the subtitles or scripts you provide, and delivers it as a downloadable video file. The Service is provided on an ongoing basis and may evolve over time.

2. Accounts

You sign in using a supported identity provider (currently Google). You're responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping access to it secure. You must provide accurate information and be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service.

3. Credits, billing & payment

The Service runs on credits. Credits are consumed per render based on the length and complexity of the output; you'll see the credit estimate in the app before you render. Credits are purchased in packs through our payment processor, Stripe.

4. Refund policy

Because credits unlock on-demand digital rendering, purchased credits are generally non-refundable once spent on a successful render. However:

For any billing issue, email support@ahacut.com.

5. Free trial

New accounts may receive free trial credits. Trial output may be watermarked and limited in length. Trials are intended for one per person/household; we may limit, withhold, or revoke trial credits to prevent abuse (for example, creating multiple accounts).

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

You are responsible for the content you upload and for ensuring you have the rights to use it.

7. Your content and the output

You retain ownership of the subtitles and scripts you provide. You grant us a limited license to process and store that content solely to operate the Service and generate your output. You own the b-roll you generate and may use it for any lawful purpose, including commercial and monetized projects, subject to these Terms and to your having the rights to your inputs.

8. AI-generated output

Output is produced by automated systems and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or unexpected results. You are responsible for reviewing the output before publishing or relying on it. We make no guarantee that output is unique, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

9. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, belongs to us and is protected by law. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks or software beyond using the Service as intended.

10. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties (such as Google, Stripe, and AI providers). Your use of those features may also be subject to their terms, and we aren't responsible for their services.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms.

14. Suspension & termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service and its users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as payment, IP, disclaimers, and liability) will survive.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The applicable jurisdiction and venue will be specified here at launch.
