Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Ahacut ("we", "us", the "Service") collects, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

In short: we collect the minimum needed to sign you in, generate your b-roll, and take payment. We don't sell your data, and we don't use your scripts to train third-party AI models. You can request deletion at any time.

1. Who we are

Ahacut provides a tool that turns subtitles into a timeline-synced motion-graphics b-roll track. For any privacy question, contact us at support@ahacut.com.

2. Information we collect

Account information

When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name, profile picture, and Google account identifier. We do not receive your Google password.

Content you provide

The subtitles, scripts, and any text you upload or paste to generate b-roll, plus the video files we produce for you.

Payment information

Purchases are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment and a customer reference, but we never see or store your full card number — Stripe handles card data directly under its own terms.

Usage & technical data

IP address, device and browser information, and server logs. We use these to operate the Service, prevent fraud and abuse (for example, trial-credit abuse), and for security and debugging.

3. Cookies & local storage

We use browser local storage to keep you signed in (your session token) and essential cookies needed to run the Service. The marketing site uses no third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Because our sign-in is strictly necessary, no consent banner is required for it; you can clear local storage at any time to sign out.

4. How we use your information

To authenticate you and operate your account.
To generate, render, store and deliver the b-roll you request.
To process payments, manage credits, and issue refunds for failed renders.
To prevent abuse, enforce limits, and keep the Service secure.
To respond to support requests and send essential service notices.

5. AI processing

To generate b-roll, the text you provide is sent to third-party AI providers (for example, Anthropic for authoring and, optionally, an image provider) solely to produce your output. We do not use your content to train our own models, and our AI providers process API content under terms that exclude using it to train their models. We send only what is necessary to fulfill your request.

6. How we share information

We share data only with service providers that help us run the Service, including:

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a business transfer. We do not sell your personal information.

7. Data retention

We keep your account data while your account is active. Generated outputs and the inputs used to create them are retained so you can re-download them, and are deleted on request or after a reasonable period of inactivity. Transaction records may be retained longer where required for tax, accounting, or legal reasons.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email support@ahacut.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

9. International transfers

We and our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

10. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
